Rigorous Curriculum

All students are provided with rigorous curriculum which is based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Qualified students in 1st through 8th grade have the opportunity to take an accelerated program of study. Students are placed in accelerated courses using multiple measures including teacher recommendation, achievement report grades, and district/state test data.

STEM Programs

Hamilton has a brand new iMac Technology Lab: two are elective/project labs that serve our TK through 8th grade students and one lab for the technology elective courses. In addition, we will be opening an Elementary STEM Lab in the Fall of 2021.

We offer middle school courses in Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Technology; Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement (MESA); Project Lead the Way, and Robotics.

Female Leadership Academy

The mission of the FEMALE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY  is to empower young women and increase their graduation rates as well as increase their entrance into institutions of higher learning and other viable post-secondary options.  The program seeks to develop successful leaders by addressing the multi-faceted issues facing young women.

Male Leadership Academy

The mission of the Male Academy is to improve the graduation rate of underrepresented promising male students and to encourage lifelong learning by preparing them for college and career options.

High School Readiness

In order to develop skills which will be necessary for high school and beyond, Hamilton sets high expectations. We emphasize scholarly habits and the importance of daily school attendance. In order to be considered "High School Ready", middle school students are expected to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, earn a C or better in ELA and Mathematics, should have a 96% or higher attendance rate, and should have no suspensions. Interventions are available to help all students achieve these goals.
